We exist to glorify God and enjoy Him by joining Christ in making disciples of all peoples for the renewal of all things in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We value The Bible as the true story of the whole world and, as such, it expresses the Wisdom of God and is completely trustworthy. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who Himself is the focus of divine revelation. Therefore, we want to be saturated with and faithful to Scripture in all aspects. (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12; 2 Pet. 1:19-21)

We value The Gospel as the good news that, in Christ (mainly, his life, death and resurrection), the kingdom of God has entered history and that He is reconciling all things to himself. The reason this is good news, is that when we, as rebellious sinners, believe and rely on Jesus’ work and record (rather than our own) for our relationship to God, God grants us forgiveness, counts us righteous, and gives us the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Gospel will be the motive and means for everything that we do, both in proclamation and in deed. (Acts 2:38; Rom. 3:21-26; 1 Cor. 15:1-9; Eph. 2:1-10; Col. 1:15-23)

Community of Faith

We value the community of faith as the gospel made visible. Because of the Gospel and the presence of the Holy Spirit, our (local church) relationships with one another are being transformed. Our goal is to cultivate communities that are shaped by the love of Jesus and that carry each other’s burdens. We will daily pursue authentic life together, growing in holiness while living out the mission which Christ has called us to. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor. 12:7; Eph. 4:11-16)

We value mission because God is on mission and calls his church to join with him. God is presently working in his creation just as He has been from the beginning. This is primarily expressed in the person and work of Christ. While Jesus has accomplished his work, we believe and affirm that God has given his people the mission of bearing witness to the Gospel and of acting as ministers of reconciliation and justice. Therefore we will be disciples who make disciples, proclaiming the gospel in word and deed while participating in both local and global missions. (Gen. 1:31; Matt. 28:18-20; John 20:21; Rom. 8:19-22; 2 Tim. 2:1-2)

It is through, and because of, each of these values that we are ushered into and continually cultivating a life of Trinitarian worship. Worship that is informed by the Bible, accessed by the Gospel, expressed and encouraged by Community, and leads to participation in Mission. (Psalm 103:1; Rom. 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 1:3-14)

We will articulate Vision and Values more succinctly as “Magnify, Mature and Multiply.” This will provide a memorable framework for us to teach all of the aforementioned content in simple categories.
